The Baratza Sette 270: fast, clean, and coming soon.

This new prosumer gadget is revolutionising grinders. It received the SCAA 2016 Best New Product in Consumer Coffee or Tea Preparation and Serving Equipment (Electrical), it won over the team here at PDG, and we’re pretty sure it’s going to impress you too.

But if you’re of the mindset that seeing is believing, you might prefer to watch it in action instead of reading our glowing review. So we’ve scoured the internet for some videos showing exactly how quick, efficient, and consistent the Sette 270 is.

Gail from Seattle Coffee Gear explores the Sette’s features in detail: its 30 macro and 9 micro settings, its speed, its manual and pause functions, and more… She takes off the burrs to show how clean it is, demonstrates how to grind into a portafilter, and examines its grind consistency.

Marc from Whole Latte Love, on the other hand, decided to test its speed. Baratza states that it grinds at 3.5-5.5g/s, so he timed it on fine, medium, and coarse. The result? The Sette 270 lives up to Baratza’s claim, and with excellent grind and weight consistency to boot.

Gail and Marc also liked by how little coffee was left in the burrs. No stale coffee in this machine!

Needless to say, watching it in action just left us even more in love with it.
