Hosted by Proud Mary Coffee Roasters and in partnership with Nucleus Coffee Tools, the 2023 US Comandante Championship will take place on 20 April in Portland, Oregon at 18:00 local time. The knock-out style brewing competition, which is free for attendees, will see 18 participants prepare coffee for a team of international judges.

All competitors will use Comandante C40 Nitro Blade grinders to dial in their coffee, which will be roasted by Proud Mary. The 2023 Comandante Championship winner will receive a golden C40 trophy.

The competition will also take place prior to Proud Mary’s “Deluxe Coffee Getdown” event, which will include a live DJ set from co-founder of Black and White Coffee Roasters Lem “Sexy Foam” Butler.
