Cameroon Community Project Means Cleaner Water & Cleaner Coffee
Water is an indispensable need for all living creatures on the planet. Ensuring a stable supply of potable water not only helps rural communities avoid disease, but also provides them with the tools to sustain a higher standard of living.
In Cameroon’s Sanyar and Basse villages, LiveBuild, in coordination with the Douwe Egberts Foundation, Covoya Specialty Coffee and Pelican Rouge, are providing the funding and assistance to enable the community to construct, manage and maintain their water systems in order to provide clean water for consumption and proper coffee processing.
The majority of villagers within these rural communities are small holder farmers, thus the community owned, business operated project offers both social and economic benefits whilst providing roasters with some exciting, new specialty coffees in the process.
