Coffee Roaster Wins $5 Million Super Bowl Commercial: 3 Winning Videos
Independent roasters Death Wish Coffee out of upstate New York has been announced as the winners of a 30-second commercial during Super Bowl 50 on February 7th. This is a huge development for the specialty coffee industry and certainly a game changer for the folks at Death Wish. The 30-second airtime for this Super Bowl Coffee Commercial is estimated at a value of over $5 million, so you can imagine how elated they are to bring their brand to the masses. Death Wish was started by Mike Brown who cut his teeth in various aspects of the coffee industry, namely at his small coffee shop in Saratoga Springs. He noticed a gap in the market where people simply wanted a smooth, highly caffeinated, strong cup of coffee. They’re currently a small outfit with less than a dozen employees (according to their website), so the news of having their ad broadcasted in front of the largest TV spectacle in the United States is nothing short of a dream come true.
